How To Get The Shower Of Your Dreams

Posted on: 1 March 2021

There are two types of people: those who enjoy showers and those who prefer a bath. If you are the type of person who enjoys taking a shower more than a bath, then it may be time to spruce up your bathroom and remodel your shower. To make sure that you get the shower of your dreams, you might want to talk to your contractor about the following things.

Frameless Shower Doors

When you are in your shower, having a lot of glass around it will make it feel much larger and more open. Rather than having a glass shower door that has some sort of metal around the top and around the edges, consider getting a frameless one instead. Frameless shower doors will make your shower feel much more open and inviting. Also, they tend to be easier to clean than if they have a perimeter around them.

Just make sure that if you do get a frameless shower door that you squeegee it after every use to help combat hard water spots; this will prevent film and overall build-up.

Dual Showerheads

If you are a large person or if you enjoy showering with your significant other, then talk to your contractor about installing dual showerheads. Dual showerheads are traditionally installed on either end of the shower so that everyone can get wet and clean as efficiently as possible. Your contractor will make sure you have enough square footage in your shower to fit two showerheads (and people) as comfortably as possible.

You may also want to talk to your contractor about adding tons of different body showerheads at every level which you can turn on and off as you see fit. Having different showerheads at every level will help you get the cleanest shower as possible.

Steam Shower

If you like feeling like you're at the spa when you're at home, then you may want to talk to your contractor about turning your shower into a steam shower. Steam showers are great because they can help you relax and they're good for your skin — a win-win. During the plumbing phase of the construction process, your contractor will plumb the shower for steam valves so that the steam comes out the bottom and then rises naturally to the top.

Sliding Doors, the Perfect Addition for Summer

When the weather is hot outside, I enjoy taking a swim in a cool, crisp pool. Summer barbecues by the pool are also a favorite past-time of mine. For many people, pool parties can be hampered by people constantly needing to go into and out of the home. In these situations, sliding doors are convenient. Besides letting an amazing amount of sunshine into your home, they can be opened and shut quickly and easily. If you like, you can even leave them open during your crowded pool party or other summer event at your home. On this blog, you will discover the many benefits sliding doors have to offer. Enjoy!
